“All genuine education comes about through experience.”
– John Dewey
Yes, we learn in the classroom; but we also learn from the physical environment we are in and from social interactions with our peers. We learn from observing role models, using “the tools of the trade,” and making real life decisions in a real life environment.
Business Honors gives you many opportunities to learn through out-of-classroom experiences. In fact, there are about 40 events to choose from each year. Events are announced in the weekly update email. You can find the details, dress, and information about how to sign-up for each event in the upcoming events section on our website.
- Executive Speaker Series
- Evening seminars
- Resume workshops
- Case competitions organized by Business Honors
- Internships (ones completed during the semester count as a professional development event)
