Each spring approximately 30 current freshmen are selected for Business Honors.  Students are selected in March before Course Registration so they can take advantage of the Business Honors course selection.

Current Business freshmen (Class of 2013) who have a minimum GPR of 3.6 at the end of the 2009 fall semester can apply to the program at the beginning of the 2010 spring semester.

Current General Studies freshmen (Class of 2013) with a 3.6 or higher GPR who will meet the requirements to enter Mays Business School at the beginning of the Fall 2010 semester may also apply.

Next Application Deadline:  February 5, 2010.

The application will be available on this webpage in December 2009.

General Information:

• BUSN 125 (3 credit hours) is a required course for the Business Honors degree. BUSN 101 (2 credit hours) and BUSN 100 (1 credit hour) will be substituted.
  • Preference will be given to those who have completed BUSN 101. Students who have not completed BUSN 100 must enroll during the Fall 2010 or Spring 2011 semesters.
  • A limited number of spaces will be available to those who did not complete BUSN 101; these students will need to register for BUSN 125H for Fall 2010.
• All prospective students are encouraged to get involved in at least one organization during their fall semester.  Business Honors is looking for students who can achieve academic excellence while being involved in their campus and community.
