Incoming Freshmen

Students may apply for Business Honors during their senior year of high school. To be eligible for application, incoming freshmen must:

score at least 1250 on the SAT (critical reading plus math with at least 570 on each) or 28 on the ACT (composite with a minimum 27 English and 27 Math)

OR

be a National Merit Semi-Finalist, a National Achievement Semi-Finalist or a National Hispanic Scholar.

To be considered, you must indicate BUAD (business administration) as your first choice of major on the Texas A&M University application for admission.

Current Students

Who can apply?
Current BUAD freshmen, Class of 2012.
Applicants must have a cumulative GPR of 3.6 or higher.

BUSN 125 (3 credit hours) is a required course. BUSN 101 (2 credit hours) and BUSN 100 (1 credit hour) will be substituted.

• Preference will be given to those who have completed BUSN 101*
• A limited number of spaces will be available to those who did not complete BUSN 101; these students will need to register for BUSN 125H for Fall 2009

General Studies students who are freshmen (Class of 2012) and who will meet the requirements to enter Mays Business School at the beginning of the Fall 2009 semester may apply. Only a limited number of spaces will be available and students will need to register for BUSN 125H for Fall 2009.

*Students who have not completed BUSN 100 must enroll during Fall 2009 or Spring 2010.

When can you apply?
The application will be available on this page on Monday, December 8th, 2008.

The application deadline will be Friday, February 6th, 2009.

Decision letters can be picked up before Spring Break.
