Current Student Applications
Each spring approximately 30 current freshmen are selected for Business Honors. Students are selected in March before course registration begins so they can take advantage of the Business Honors course selection process.
Current business freshmen (Class of 2015) who have a minimum GPR of 3.6 at the end of the fall 2011 semester can apply to the program at the beginning of the spring 2012 semester.
Current general studies freshmen (Class of 2015) with a 3.6 or higher GPR who will meet the requirements to enter Mays Business School at the beginning of the fall 2012 semester may also apply.
Application process
The application for current freshmen is now available. Read all of the instructions carefully. The application process is very competitive so following directions is important.
Applications MUST be dropped offin the Business Honors Office by 5 p.m. on February 6, 2012. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered. The Business Honors Office is located in 340 Wehner.
General information
BUSN 125 (3 credit hours) is a required course for the Business Honors degree. BUSN 101 (3 credit hours) will be substituted for this requirement.
Preference will be given to those who have completed BUSN 101. A limited number of spaces will be available to those who did not complete BUSN 101; these students will need to register for BUSN 125H for fall 2012.
All prospective students are encouraged to get involved in at least one organization during their fall semester. Business Honors is looking for students who can achieve academic excellence while being involved in their campus and community.
